SALINE, Mich. -

The missing therapy dog belonging to an Army veteran in Saline was found Saturday.

Robert Anthony served in the Army during Iraq and was diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. His therapy dog named Sita disappeared last Friday from a home on West Willis Road in Saline.

Anthony told Local 4 Sita was found by a neighbor a mile away from his home. The 3-year-old Hungarian Vizsla was hit by a car and has a broken leg.

The neighbor who found Sita took her to a veterinary hospital for treatment. The dog will need surgery but will survive and is now back in the arms of her owner.

Anthony says he is very grateful for all the viewers who sent in tips while Sita was missing.
