FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. -

Snow removal crews in Metro Detroit are constantly on the phone with their suppliers at Angelo's asking for more salt, but there's just not enough salt to go around.

Angelo's Supplies is only serving their regular customers as the salt supplies continue to dwindle across the country after record snowfalls, not just in places where snow is expected but also southern cities unaccustomed to this harsh of a winter.

Dana Miller, manager of Angelo's for the last 14 years, says she hasn't seen a shortage like this in several years.

Contractors are hoping the remaining salt will last them until the weekend but more than likely it will all be gone by Friday.
