Saturday sunshine with rain expected in the afternoon

DETROITIt’s a great looking weekend temperature wise as we are waking up Saturday morning in the upper 50s to low 60s under partly cloudy skies.

We’ll see a good deal of Saturday sunshine during the morning and more cloud cover this afternoon. Highs will hit the mid 70s and warmer in many suburbs and winds will pick up a bit SW 7-17 mph gusting over 20 mph. But, we do have a shot at a few showers during the afternoon hours today. We may even get a few isolated rumbles of thunder, so count on a delay or two in your outdoor plans but the showers will be scattered and won’t last too long.

Sunday looks very similar with sunshine to start and a few showers in the afternoon. Another day with cooler 50s to start and low to mid 70s possible in the afternoon. Showers will be light and scattered and those breezes keep blowing WSW 10-20 mph.

The Ford Fireworks Monday should be dry.  That being said, a few showers under partly sunny skies in the afternoon are likely around Metro Detroit. Again, we expect dry conditions through the evening hours and comfortable weather downtown. Temps stay on the cooler side in the upper 60s under mostly cloudy skies.
