There is a showdown developing between the Detroit Public School Board and DPS Emergency Manager Roy Roberts. At issue, who should fill a vacant seat on the board.
On Thursday, Roberts appointed Jonathan Kinloch to fill a vacant seat. At the sametime, the school board voted to appoint Sherry Gay-Dagnogo. As of Thursday, neither side would back down, so it appears the decision will be up to a judge. The two sides are expected in court July 19.
