WATERFORD TOWNSHIP, Mich. -

A 59-year-old man's body was pulled from Cass Lake Wednesday evening after divers searched the water for about an hour.

Local 4 is told the man went into the water about 5:30 p.m. Wednesday. Divers found him unresponsive later in the evening.

The Oakland County Sheriff's Dive Team was on the water along with the Waterford and West Bloomfield fire departments.

According to the Waterford Regional Fire Department, witnesses say the man was about 100 yards from shore when they saw him go under and not come up. The water is estimated to be about 20 feet deep.

The man had been at the Dodge No. 4 State Park on the north side of the lake with his family.
