Aniseh Eljahmi killed in April 2006

DEARBORN, Mich. – Police held a news conference Monday morning to ask the public for information on a cold case from 2006 in Dearborn.

Aniseh Eljahmi was killed April 13, 2006, while getting out of her car in front of her home on Houston Street. Her 6-year-old daughter was in the car at the time.

"We are urging the public to come forward with any information regarding this case," Dearborn police Chief Ronald Haddad said. "This is a tragic situation that has devastated the family and we hope we can bring those responsible for this heinous crime to justice."

Officers from the Dearborn Police Department teamed up with Crime Stoppers to get Aniseh Eljahmi's killer behind bars once and for all.

Eman Eljahmi, 17, was just 6 years old when her mother was killed in front of her. She was sitting in a parked car when her mother was fatally shot outside their Dearborn home.

Aniseh Eljahmi, 28, was killed 11 years ago, and time hasn't eased the pain for her family.

Dearborn police and Crime Stoppers are bringing the cold case back into the public eye. No arrests were made, but the case still haunts investigators.

Police and the grieving family are hoping somebody with information will come forward.
