WIXOM, Mich. – Officers from the Wixom Police Department and several surrounding communities resolved a barricaded situation Wednesday morning at the Village Apartments peacefully.
Police said they received a number of calls about shots fired. Once they arrived the attempts made to make contact with those inside the apartments were unsuccessful.
Oakland County Sheriff's SWAT team was able to enter the apartment just before 6 a.m. and detained four adults and two children.
About a half dozen other apartments nearby were evacuated as a precaution.
