DETROIT -

Several passengers on a Detroit city bus were hurt in a crash Wednesday morning on Detroit’s west side.

The crash happened on Evergreen Road, south of Joy Road, when the bus hit a Ford Taurus that had driven through a stop sign.

The bus lost control, went up onto a sidewalk and clipped a tree.

Eight people were taken to the hospital, but none of the injuries are being considered life-threatening.
