Showers possible Wednesday afternoon with warming temps in metro Detroit

High temperatures to hit 80 degrees

DETROIT – Skies are trying to clear as we head through afternoon leading to partly sunny skies and warmer conditions.

It will be a bit muggy and a stationary front is draped over SE Michigan keeping a few clouds around. With a quick warm up and that frontal boundary, we cannot rule out a few pop up showers and/or storms in the late afternoon. High temps will hit 80 degrees with light winds SW 5-10 mph.

Looking pretty nice for the Tigers game at 1:08 p.m. Thursday. Clouds will increase and cool breezes NW 10-15 mph will keep highs around 70 degrees.

Friday will be partly sunny as well with highs again in the upper 60s to near 70 degrees. But, new model data suggests that a few showers may pass over Friday afternoon from a storm maker off to the east.
