Sister fatally shoots self at eastside Detroit bar, brother dies in crash

Sister dies at bar, brother crashes at Warren and Neff

DETROIT – In a span of about an hour early Sunday morning, a local family lost two of their loved ones.

Ricky Tucker, 20, was speeding to a hospital at about 2 a.m. to check on his sister when he crossed the center line on East Warren near Woodhall and collided with an SUV.

Tucker was killed. The SUV's driver suffered minor injuries.

Just an hour before Tucker's crash, police said his 21-year-old sister shot herself at the family's bar -- The Texas Bar on Kercheval.

She was taken to a hospital, but pronounced dead.

The siblings' uncle, Eddie Falbo, said his niece suffered from depression.

"It happened so fast. It was like, bam, bam, one thing after another," Falbo told Local 4.

Falbo said both himself and Tucker were there when the shooting happened.

"He was going to see his sister and it's messed up for that to happen," Falbo said. "It's hard for the whole family. It's hard. It's very, very hard."
