The old train station is owned by the Detroit International Bridge Company, which is billionaire Manuel "Matty" Moroun's business. Moroun's DIBC also owns the nearby Ambassador Bridge. It hasn't been in use since the 1980s. The company reportedly has been doing some rehab work inside the building.

The train station went into service in 1914. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.
