DETROIT – From Monroe County to Mt. Elliott in Detroit you could hear the muttering of discontent over the roar of snow blowers on Wednesday.
Yet, it still brings out the best in most.
"It's terrible man, lots of people stuck. I helped a lot of people out. It's the worst in 20 years," said Robert Pinkston.
Francisco Martinez said he and his 4-wheeler will be busy from sun up to sundown and beyond.
"I don't know how I'm going to keep up. I'm going to be boogie-ing all day long just to keep it down," he said.
At Detroit Metro Airport, two small commuter jets and a corporate aircraft had to be towed after getting their nose wheels mired in snow on the runway.

"In both cases the planes turned their noses into a snowbank and became stuck," said airport spokesman Mike Conway. "The wheels on those planes are pretty small so once we were able to wheel equipment out to them -- which is a little bit of complicated matter -- they were able to push the aircraft out and they taxied back to the gates under their own power."
For the most part flights were on time. The same could not be said for one man's crosstown Detroit Department of Transportation bus.
"Since 11:48. I saw three buses go down, but none came back," said Reginald Harrison.
