SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – The live-in boyfriend of a 64-year-old Southfield woman who was found dead in her apartment has turned himself into police.
Police said the victim, whose name is not yet being released, was found Sunday evening in her Pine Aire Apartments home. Police said the cause of death was asphyxiation.

Early Monday morning, a 53-year-old man, the victim's boyfriend, turned himself into Detroit police.
He was then transferred to the custody of Southfield police, who said they expect to submit warrant request to the prosecutor's office later this week.
No other details were immediately released.
