Southfield police looking for 3 in jewelry store robbery

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – Southfield police said they're looking for three men who robbed a jewelry store Monday evening.

Police said two of the men entered Swiss Jewelers on Greenfield Road and used a hammer to smash the display cases, stealing jewelry and threatening the clerk.

Police did not release the value of the jewelry that was taken.

The third man is suspected of acting as a lookout, police said.

Police have released several surveillance pictures of the men with the following descriptions:

  • Black male, 17-25 years of age, wearing a white T-shirt with "Fresh To Death" written on the front, red and blue baseball hat, light colored blue jeans, black and white Nike shoes and white gloves. He was armed with a hammer.
  • Black male, 17-25 years of age, wearing a gray hoodie with dark colored sleeves with  "Nautica" written on the front, dark colored jeans, white and black Nike shoes,white gloves.
  • Black male, 17-25 years of age, short hair, wearing a green shirt with a collar, khaki pants, white shoes.
