DETROIT – Clouds hung tough this afternoon, but should gradually break up and clear out during the night.
By morning we'll be mostly clear, with lows in the low 20s. Wind will diminish steadily, and eventually become calm.

Friday forecast:
Have the shades handy when you head off to work Friday morning, as we'll start the day with sunny skies. The rest of the morning should be mostly sunny, then clouds will increase during the afternoon. Highs in the low 40s, although some of you in the far southwestern part of our area (particularly from Adrian southward) may sneak up to around 50 as a warm front works its way just barely across the state line. Southeast wind at 8 to 12 mph.
We'll probably see some light rain showers roughly between 8 p.m. Friday and 1 a.m. Saturday, followed by a few light snow showers (little or no accumulation). Lows in the low 30s.

Partly cloudy both Saturday and Sunday, with highs in the upper 30s on Saturday, but only in the upper 20s on Sunday.

Then mostly sunny on Monday, with highs still only near 30.
A chance of light snow showers on Tuesday as a weak trough of low pressure crosses the Great Lakes. Highs in the low 30s.
NOTE: As I mentioned yesterday, some of my computer models (including the more reliable ECMWF model) are projecting a very significant Nor'easter winter storm for parts of New England in the Tuesday/Wednesday timeframe. Keep this in mind if you have travel plans out east -- this very well could be a serious storm with serious travel disruptions.

We finally warm back up into the low 40s on Thursday, but there's a chance for rain and/or snow showers.
