St Clair Shores bowling fundraiser to benefit sick, injured animals

4 Paws 1 Heart hosting fundraiser at Harbor Lanes Bowl

ST CLAIR SHORES, Mich. – A night of bowling with friends can help abandoned pets who are sick and injured in Southeast Michigan.

4 Paws 1 Heart is hosting a fundraiser Saturday, June 8th at Harbor Lanes Bowl on Jefferson Ave in St Clair Shores.

The group's last bowling fundraiser sold out.

"You wouldn't believe the raffle prizes and the number of people attending. We are at 100 bowlers, but still have a little room for more. But, if you can't bowl, come to hang out and get in on the raffles," wrote Diana Rascano, president of 4 Paws 1Heart of the group's Facebook page.

The organization funds medical treatment for homeless animals and works with local veterinarians and rescue groups to help find them permanent homes.

Animals like Snickers the cat, treated for an infection that nearly left him blind or Hercules who was left beaten and crippled by his owner, received lifesaving treatment thanks to the organization.

To date, the group has helped more than 500 animals recover from illness, injury, neglect and abuse.
