St. Clair Shores police: Woman falsely reported being attacked, robbed

Kelly Parsons charged with felony

A woman has been charged with filing a false police report after St. Clair Shores police said she lied about being attacked and robbed in a store parking lot.

Police said Kelly Parsons, 45, originally told them that she was hit in the head by a man on April 11 in the parking lot of Kroger at 13 Mile and Harper Avenue. Parsons told police that she was forced to give the man her purse and wedding ring. But police said her report was later proven to be false.
