Sterling Heights police release photos of iPad thieves

2 men smash through cases at Target store on Metropolitan Parkway

STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. – Sterling Heights police have released photos of two people who stole several iPads from a Target store.

Police said the two went into the store on Metropolitan Parkway on Sept. 17 and used a hammer to smash through cases in the store's electronics section. They stuffed several iPads into bags and then fled, but not before they were caught on the store's surveillance cameras.

Police said they were seen leaving in a maroon sedan, but no other description was available.
