Metro Detroit weather: Shower chances remain Friday

DETROITWe have shower chances through the lunch hour and maybe just beyond, but improving conditions this afternoon.

Temps will hover around 80 degrees except during rain and thunderstorm activity, and it’s a bit humid making it feel warmer. Skies become partly sunny through the mid afternoon and evening.

Both weekend days ahead will stay in the mid 70s and there is a chance for very light showers both days. We may not see much of anything tomorrow, but again a few spotty drips and drops possible. Highs Saturday in the mid 70s with winds W 10-20 mph. Sunday brings a slightly better chance for a few afternoon showers but again it doesn’t look very heavy or widespread. Highs will stop in the low 70s and may be in the upper 60s a good chunk of the day. It will stay a bit breezy all weekend with winds Sunday WSW 10-20 mph.

The Ford Fireworks Monday should be dry.  That being said, a few spotty showers in the afternoon are likely around Metro Detroit but it will be very nice during the evening. Temps stay on the cooler side in the upper 60s to near 70 degrees under mostly cloudy skies.  You can track radar and stay ahead of the showers and storms with our Local4Casters app.
