Sub-zero wind chills move in Thursday

Highs near 20

DETROIT   A chilly start with wind chills at or below zero through Metro Detroit. We do get some sun today as temps struggle to hit 20 degrees or slightly warmer. Wind chills in the upper single digits to low teens with partly cloudy skies Thursday with flurries and winds WNW 5-12 mph.

Look for few snow showers midday Friday with lows in the low teens and highs back to the mid 20s again. That midday snow will be light and models confirm less than an inch of snow tomorrow.

A cold weekend ahead with lows near zero and highs in the teens. A few pockets of snow possible Saturday but it won’t be much. Look for a cool Winter Blast in Motown this weekend but warming tents everywhere and marshmallow roasting makes it all warm.

A Monday snow maker could bring a few inches our way… stay tuned. Before you head out, get the FREE Local4Casters Weather and Storm Pins apps free in your app store under WDIV.
