ALLEN PARK, Mich. – On Sunday morning around 3:50 a.m., a 2002 Nissan crashed into the left guardrail on westbound Interstate 94 near Pelham Road, killing two of three people in the car.
The driver lost control of the vehicle, exited the left side of the freeway and hit the guardrail end broadside. Both the driver and the front seat passenger were killed, and the back seat passenger was transported to Oakwood Hospital.

Police are continuing to investigate what caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle. The road was clear and dry at the time of the crash and there were no other vehicles involved in the incident.
The freeway is currently partially open.
