Sunshine Monday with more thawing

Detroit thaws out with sun and higher temps

DETROIT – Clearing skies Monday morning will help fall into the low 20s during the rush to work and school.  Re-freezing on sidewalks, ramps, bridges and overpasses will make some driving and walking tricky.  Then mostly sunny skies and temps slightly above freezing will cause more melting before the afternoon is done.

Monday night will be fair but sub-freezing, again.  Lows will be near 25 by Tuesday morning.

Thawing continues Tuesday and the rest of the week.  More sunshine will reign Tuesday with highs in the middle 30s.  Daytime temps Wednesday and the rest of the week will be near 40 then 45 degrees.  By late Thursday and Friday there will be a chance of precipitation, but it be in the form of rain.
