Suspects hid near McDonald's drive-thru to carjack victim, Dearborn police say

3 adults, 1 juvenile face charges

DEARBORN, Mich. – Three people hid near a Dearborn McDonald's drive-thru early Monday morning and carjacked a woman at gunpoint, Dearborn police said.

Police said the woman was at the McDonald's at 7300 Wyoming Road at 3 a.m. when the suspects confronted her at gunpoint and forced her out of her Ford Fusion.

The stolen car was spotted by police a short time later in Detroit in the area of Mt. Elliot and Interstate 94, police said.

Three adults and a juvenile were taken into custody.

Police said they found a gun and other evidence that links the suspects to the carjacking.

Charles Brown Jr., 19, of Detroit, is charged with carjacking, armed robbery, unlawful driving away of an automobile, receiving and concealing stolen property, obstructing a police officer, possessing a stolen financial transaction device and felony firearm.

Dontrail Taylor, 17, of Detroit, is charged with receiving and concealing stolen property, obstructing a police officer and felony firearm.

Kortez Miller, 19, of Detroit, is charged with receiving and concealing stolen property. 

The juvenile is also facing charges in Wayne County Juvenile Court.
