Taylor police: Man in images, video is suspect in murder of cash advance employee

Man shown in surveillance images, video is being called suspect in murder of 30-year-old employee at Advanced America

TAYLOR, Mich. – Taylor police have released surveillance images of a man who, they say, is a suspect in the murder of a 30-year-old employee at the Advance America cash advance store on Tuesday.

Chelsea Ann Small, of Gibraltar, was killed during an attempted robbery at the cash advance on Telegraph Road. She was a mother of two.

Police believe the white man shown in surveillance images is connected to her murder. He is described as 35 to 50 years old with a stocky build. He has dark, bushy hair.

He was wearing a blue jacket, a baseball cap, a white under shirt, black pants and light colored shoes.

Police had responded to a holdup alarm at the Advance America. When officers arrived they had to force entry into the store. Once inside, they found Small shot to death.

Police are actively searching for this suspect.
