'Techweek' makes its way to Detroit this spring

Annual technology conference has 5 stops this year

DETROIT – What began as a small gathering of Chicago's youth tech scene has grown into a full-blown tech fest. Techweek has been traveling the country since 2011, and it's set to take over Detroit this coming spring.

Techweek is scheduled to visit Detroit from May 26 to June 1. The location of the expo hasn't been announced yet, but the Techweek Detroit kick-off party is this Thursday at Sugar House in Detroit. You can request an invite to the VIP event here.

Over the years, over 20,000 people have attended Techweek events, which have featured expos, hiring fairs, guest speakers, and more. As the website states, Techweek's mission is to showcase, celebrate and enable emerging innovation ecosystems in the great cities of America.

Techweek brings together a mixture of entrepreneurs, visionaries, and thought leaders for a week long celebration of all things tech. "Our approach is to bring together an entire tech community under a single 7-day BIG TENT and then shine a global SPOT LIGHT on this ecosystem."
