The officers did not know at the time the car was stolen.

The car hit a curb at Hawthorne St. near Seven Mile Road, went airborne, and crashed into a vacant house.

The driver of the car jumped out and ran.  He got away.

The male passenger was taken from the scene to Children's Hospital, where he was being treated for a broken leg.
