Texas student's classroom rant to teacher goes viral

A YouTube video of a Duncanville, Texas, student's rant at his teacher has gone viral this week.
The student, identified by YouTube viewers and fellow students as Jeff Bliss, is seen in the video unloading his frustration on his teacher about her ineffective teaching methods.

The original video, shot by a classmate on a cellphone, was posted on YouTube and then removed.

It has since been posted on another website, and has received over 300,000 views as of 10 p.m. Wednesday.

In the footage, the student says, "If you would just get up and teach them instead of handing them a freaking packet, yo. There's kids in here that don't learn like that. They need to learn face to face. I'm telling you what you need to do."

The rant continues for nearly a minute and a half until the teacher tells the student to leave the classroom.

Duncanville ISD has released the following statement:

"We want our students and teachers to be engaged, but the method by which the student expressed his concern could have been handled in a more appropriate way."
The student was apparently unaware that his rant was being recorded, but says he is not ashamed of what he said.

So far, he has not been disciplined by the school for his remarks.
