TROY, Montana – A would-be thief who intended to rob a Papa John's pizza shop in Montana had a sudden change of heart when the cashier began to hand him the money.

Helena Police Chief Troy McGee says a man wearing a hooded sweatshirt and a bandanna on his face entered the restaurant and handed the cashier a note demanding the money in the register, according to the AP.
The cashier started to hand him the cash, but then the man started crying and said he was just trying to provide for his family.
The clerk talked with him for a few minutes and eventually offered to make a pizza and some chicken wings for his family. The man waited while the food was cooked, then took the food and some soda and left.

McGee said he's not sure what he could charge the man with, but stated that he would like to at least locate the man to prevent this from happening again.
