3 charged in fatal shooting outside Eastland Mall

HARPER WOODS, Mich. – The Wayne County Prosecutor's Office has charged three people in connection to a deadly shooting outside a mall in Harper Woods.

Brendon Stanton-Lipscomb, 18, and 17-year-olds Demetrius Armour and Tyshon Taylor, all of Detroit, each are charged with one count of first-degree murder and two counts of two counts of assault with intent to murder in connection with last month's fatal shooting outside Eastland Mall.

Tyrell Lane, 17, was shot and killed outside the mall Dec. 26. Prosecutors allege Stanton-Libscomb, while aided by Armour and Taylor, shot Lane as he was leaving the Burlington Coat Factory store.

It is also alleged that the three defendants assaulted two others teens who were at the mall.

Police said this was not a random shooting.

All three were arraigned Friday morning at 34th District Court in Romulus. They are being held at the Wayne County Jail. Probable cause conferences will be held on Jan. 13, 2016 and preliminary examinations will be held on Jan. 2016 at 32‎-A District Court in Harper Woods.
