Tigers Opening Day forecast looks great

DETROIT – Play ball!

The forecast looks great today after a cool start in the 20s and low 30s.

Expect plenty of sunshine early with increasing clouds through the afternoon. It's a perfect weather day for the Tiger's home opener at Comerica Park.

The early afternoon first pitch temps should be around 50 degrees with low to middle 50s in the forecast for the rest of the afternoon. We will see high clouds around Metro Detroit through the second half of the day. But, the clouds will not drip on us today.

You may see a quick, light rain shower very early on Tuesday but it will be gone before most of us are up in the morning. The rest of Tuesday looks partly sunny and breezy with highs in the low 50s. Those winds SW 15-25 mph could gust over 30 mph at times.

There's a better chance for wet weather on Wednesday and Thursday with some a chance for a wintry mix early Wednesday. And, more scattered, light rain through Thursday.

The midweek weather maker will bring a bulk of the wet weather south of here through the Ohio Valley meaning our southern counties have the better chance for rain and snow showers. Later in the week through early Saturday, we could see a bit more widespread rain activity in the area. Stay tuned as the Local4Casters will keep you posted on any changes coming your way.
