DETROIT – A trial has been ordered for two men who are charged in connection with a sexual assault at a Detroit apartment building that went up in flames just hours after the alleged crime was reported.
Carlos Love, 21, and Dantraz Oliver-McClung, 19, are accused of being involved in the assault of a 19-year-old girl on March 5 at the Jason Manor apartments. They are charged with three counts of criminal sexual conduct in the first degree and five counts of criminal sexual conduct assault with intent to commit criminal sexual penetration.

They were bound over Wednesday during a preliminary hearing.
Police said they were called to the apartments at 3:30 a.m. on the complaint of a loud party and the assault, and that the apartment building's manager reported the fire just before 6 a.m.
Firefighters rescued about 25 people from the 41-unit building, while others jumped from windows to safety.
At least four people had to be taken to the hospital because of injuries they suffered from either jumping or because of burns.
Arson has been confirmed in the fire, but no one has been charged.
Separately, Love is facing charges for a previous arson for a fire that happened Oct. 4 at a house in the 19600 block of Rogge Street.
