DETROIT - Three men have been charged with a robbery in Canton earlier this week that prompted a police search and lock down of four area schools.

Eric James-Lee Wilkins, of Inkster, Antonio Jerome Porter, also of Inkster, and Dantez Lamar Boykin-Johnson from Westland were arraigned Thursday.

All are 18 years old and are charged with armed robbery, breaking and entering, retail fraud, receiving and concealing stolen property and weapons charges.

The trio was arrested Monday when police found them hiding in the storm cellar of a home on Willard Road, which is near Sheldon and Cherry Hill.

Four schools were put on lock down while police search for the suspects.

They are accused of robbing a Verizon Wireless store and then fleeing from police.

Police said they were found with assault weapons.
