The infant was found unresponsive last October in home by officers responding to a 911 call. She was later pronounced dead.

"The mother was outside. She was very hysterical. She pointed the officers, directed them to the basement of the home. They ran downstairs with paramedics. The child was found lying on a rug in the basement," said Troy Police Capt. Robert Redmond.

The Oakland County Medial Examiner's office said the girl had died from blunt force trauma.
