ANN ARBOR, Mich. -

The University of Michigan Police Department is now investigating whether a sex assault occurred during a break-in last week at a student's off-campus apartment.

Police said the student reported waking up on Sept. 20 in her apartment in the 1100 block of South Forest Avenue and finding a window had been opened and a screen removed. Some of her things were also missing.
