University of Michigan police: Student finds intruder in home, several items missing

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – University of Michigan campus police have issued a crime alert after a student woke to find an intruder in his home and several items missing.

Police said the incident happened between midnight and 5 a.m. Monday in the 1000 block of Cedar Bend Drive, which is off campus north of Fuller Road and across from Mitchell Field.

The intruder fled when the student confronted him, but electronics, a bicycle and clothing were missing, police said.

The only description released by police is a white male, approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall with short, brown wavy hair that was parted on the side. He was wearing all dark clothing.
