DETROIT -

U.S. Marshals are searching for three men accused of being involved in a large-scale drug ring.

The men were set to hear a verdict in their case on Monday in Detroit federal court. However, they did not appear in court.

Marshals are on the hunt for 39-year-old Carlos Ellis Powell and two men the U.S. Attorney's Office call his closest associates -- his brother Eric Jerome Powell, 36, and 38-year-old Earnest Lee Proge Jr.

Federal investigators say their group is considered one of the largest drug rings in metro Detroit's history.

Marshals fanned out across downtown looking for the men. The search continues.

Authorities say the ring operated from 2006 to 2010. More than $21 million was seized between June 2010 and November 2010. A Rolls Royce, Bentley and Ferrari were among vehicles and other items seized.

They are considered dangerous, so if anyone sees them they are advised not to engage, but just call police.
