Vandals smash out windows with BB gun in Clinton, Macomb townships

More than 100 cars, homes hit over weekend

MACOMB COUNTY, Mich. – Two juveniles and the mother of one of them have been charged in connection with a BB gun shooting spree that damaged more than 100 windows in three Macomb County communities.

The juveniles, a 15-year-old and a 16-year-old, are accused of shooting out car and home windows in Clinton Township, Macomb Township and Mount Clemens.

The 15-year-old is being charged with 46 counts of malicious destruction of personal property resulting in damage of $200 or more but less than $1,000.  The 16-year-old is charged with a combination of 70 counts of both malicious destruction of personal property and malicious destruction of a building resulting in damage of $200 or more but less than $1,000. Each count is a misdemeanor punishable by up to one year in jail, as well as a fine of up to $2,000, or three times the amount of destruction.

The mother of one of the juveniles, Shannon Crystal Notarianni, of Clinton Township, has also been charged -- for allegedly lying to police about her son's involvement in the alleged crime. Notarianni is charged with lying to a police officer during a serious misdemeanor investigation.
