Video: Gunman robs man on Detroit's east side

DETROIT – Detroit police are asking for the public's help with identifying and finding two men wanted in connection to two armed robberies on the city's east side.

Video from 1:18 a.m. June 12 shows armed men rob a 23-year-old man as he was walking up to his porch in the 3000 block of Bristow. The video shows one of the robbers with a long gun.

Police say the robbers stole the man's cellphone before getting back into their vehicle and fleeing westbound on Bristow, then southbound on Conant. No injuries were reported.

Detroit police say the same men committed a second robbery just minutes later at the intersection of Lawley and Klinger. They robbed a 50-year-old man who was talking on his cellphone outside. The robbers approached him at gunpoint and stole an undetermined amount of cash.

There's no video of that robbery.

Descriptions of wanted men:

Robber No. 1: Black man with a medium build, light complexion who was wearing a white jacket with black leather sleeves, a red baseball cap and a red bandana. He was armed with a long gun.

Robber No. 2: Black man standing about 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing about 200 pounds. He was wearing a light-colored jacket, a baseball cap and a ski mask.
