VAN BUREN TOWNSHIP, Mich. – What started as a domestic dispute early Monday morning in Pittsfield Township ended in a crash after a police pursuit in Van Buren Township.
Dashcam video from a Van Buren Township officer's car captured the pursuit. It ended when the suspect's vehicle failed to negotiate a turn on Belleville Road just south of Interstate 94, crashing into trees and a fence in front of a house.
Police officers used a fire extinguisher as they helped the man out of the crashed vehicle.
It's not clear why the suspect decided to flee from police.
