Multiple deaths reported after explosion at Ariana Grande concert in England

LONDON – Police said there are "a number of fatalities" after reports of an explosion during an Ariana Grande concert at the Manchester Arena in northern England.

There were no immediate details of what happened during the concert.

Video from inside the arena showed concertgoers screaming as they made their way out amid a sea of pink balloons.

"Emergency services are currently responding to reports of an explosion at Manchester Arena," Greater Manchester Police said in a Facebook statement. "There are a number of confirmed fatalities and others injured. Please AVOID the area as first responders work tirelessly at the scene. Details of a casualty bureau will follow as soon as available."
