Ellen Logan, wife of Police Chief Chester Logan, dies after battle with cancer

DETROIT – Visitation for the wife of a Detroit police chief who died after her long battle with cancer will be held this weekend at the Swanson Funeral Home in Detroit.

Ellen Logan, the wife of Detroit Police Chief Chester Logan, died on Monday.

Visitations will be held at the Swanson Funeral Home, located at 806 E. Grand Boulevard in Detroit, on Saturday from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m.

The family hour and funeral services will be conducted Monday at Sacred Heart Church at 1000 Eliot in Detroit. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m.

The Logan family said the Interment will be at Elmwood Cemetery, located at 1200 Elmwood Avenue.

The family is requesting that all monetary donations be sent to the Detroit Goodfellows, P.O. Box 44444, Detroit, MI 48244-0444. The family said flowers can be delivered to Swanson Funeral Home.
