Walk, run in the Auto Show 5k Shuffle in Detroit on Jan 19th

Michigan Fitness Foundation, Parade Company invites walkers, joggers to get fit, have fun along Detroit's Riverfront

LANSING, Mich. – The Michigan Fitness Foundation and the Parade Company want to invite walkers and joggers of all ages to take part in the Auto Show Shuffle.

The 5K race or walk will take place Jan. 19th on the Detroit Riverfront.

"The Auto Show Shuffle recognizes the walkability and bike-ability of Detroit trails while honoring the city's rich automotive history," said Nathan Ohle, Director of Outreach and Development at the Michigan Fitness Foundation. "We look forward to sharing in the excitement by helping to kick off the North American International Auto Show."

Participants will receive a commemorative t-shirt and a discounted rate when purchasing tickets to the Auto Show.

The Auto Show Shuffle is the combination of efforts among five organizations that have a shared passion for helping people get active in Detroit.

Participating organizations include: North American International Auto Show, the Detroit RiverFront Conservancy, the Parade Company, the Michigan Fitness Foundation, and the Governor's Council on Physical Fitness, Sports and Health.

Registration is $25 before Jan. 19 and $30 on the day of the race.
