Warrant request filed in deadly crash involving Detroit teens

Two Henry Ford High School students struck by van Tuesday

DETROIT – The Wayne County Prosecutor's Office has received a warrant request in connection to a deadly crash involving two teens in Detroit.

Two Henry Ford High School students were struck by a van Tuesday as they crossed 8 Mile Road at Evergreen Road. Timesha Danill-Taylor, 14, was killed. Her 15-year-old half-sister, Jermya Brown, remains in critical condition at a hospital.

Detroit police said the 54-year-old man who was driving the van has been cooperating while the crash remains under investigation.

The Prosecutor's Office says it has not made a decision on charges.
