Warren man arrested, accused of stealing dozens of cellphones

Police in Warren investigate whether man is connected to New Year's Eve crime

WARREN, Mich. – Police arrested a 19-year-old Warren man they say stole dozens of cellphones after breaking into a store.

Scott Thursam faces charges connected to the June 25 robbery of a cellphone retailer in the area of Ryan and 12 Mile roads.

Police said they arrived after the alarm to find Thursam behind the store with 34 phones in his pockets and backpack.

Thursam was arraigned in court on charge of breaking and entering with the intent to commit larceny.

Investigators said security camera video inside the store shows Thursam when the alarm went off.

Police said they are investigating whether Thursam is linked to a robbery at the store on New Year's Eve.
