Warren police say they've nabbed suspected cellphone store thieves

Video shows thieves on robbery spree at Warren cellphone store

WARREN, Mich. – Warren police say they've arrested a group of people who are accused of going on a robbery spree targeting cell phone stores in the area.

In December, Local 4 reported on surveillance video from inside an AT&T store on 12 Mile that showed two people smashing their way in and stealing phones and a TV. On the same day, police said the two were suspected of breaking into a Subway shop in Center Line and taking cash from the register.

Two weeks ago, police said the same people are accused of throwing bricks through the door of K & Z Cellular on Ryan Road.

Display cases were smashed, costing the store owner thousands of dollars in damage.

Friday morning, police said they arrested four people who were seen leaving the scene of a robbery at an At&T shop on Van Dyke and 12 Mile.

The suspects, three men and a woman, are being held pending charges.
