WATCH: Man pulls down food rack, kicks door at Detroit gas station

Police say man was angry when clerk wouldn't give him free items

DETROIT – Surveillance shows a man throw over a rack of items and kick a door Tuesday at a BP gas station in Detroit.

According to police, a man entered the station at 18500 West 7 Mile Road and requested free items from the clerk. When the clerk declined, the man got angry and knocked over a rack of baked goods.

The employee locked the door when the man tried to leave but he kicked the door, breaking the lock, police said. He left the gas station on foot. This was all captured on the video attached above.

The man is described as black with a dark complexion. He is believed to be between the age of 25 and 30 years old. He was wearing a red and black hat, a black sweatshirt, black pants and red shoes.
