Water main break floods streets on Detroit's west side

DETROIT – A street on Detroit's west side was flooded Monday morning after a water main broke.

Video from Sky4 showed the area near Parkland Street and Dacosta underwater.

The water was about 2 feet in depth before a Detroit Water and Sewerage Department crew shut off the flow.

The water never reached one of nearby homes. No one has reported any basement flooding.

The street and sidewalk have been left caked in mud.

Water was shut off in the neighborhood, but it's back on now.
