MADISON HEIGHTS, Mich. – The City of Madison Heights has closed one lane of westbound 12 Mile Road between I-75 and Stephenson Highway, and has prohibited traffic from going from the southbound I-75 exit ramp onto eastbound 12 Mile Road. The closures are needed while the city repairs a water main under the road.
The lane closure and left-turn prohibition were instituted at about 9:30 Wednesday morning and will be in place through rush hour.

During the lane closure, traffic will continue to be able to use both east- and westbound 12 Mile, but motorists should expect delays.
