Wayne Co. Prosecutor says cross-complaining warrants filed in Charlie LeDuff case

DETROIT – The Wayne County Prosecutor's office announced Tuesday morning that cross-complaining warrants are being reviewed in connection involving Fox 2 reporter Charlie LeDuff during Detroit's St. Patrick's Day celebration.

A warrant request has been submitted for LeDuff with a 58-year-old security guard as the complaining witness.  There is also a warrant request that has been submitted for a 58-year-old Detroit security guard with LeDuff as the complaining witness.  No further details will be provided by this office until the review process has been completed.

Where the story began:

According to the Detroit police report, Fox 2 News reporter Charlie LeDuff was involved in an alleged fight during Detroit's Corktown St. Patrick's Day Parade.

Witnesses say LeDuff appeared highly intoxicated and was seen urinating in in the street near Brooklyn and Michigan Avenue. LeDuff also was involved in a "large" fight.

The police report says LeDuff bit the finger of a security guard. He was cited for aggravated assault.
