Wayne County is one of several Michigan counties and cities moving forward to rid their communities of the drug, which has been linked to the death of an 18-year-old man in Bloomfield Township.

State officials in Lansing are also taking aim at the drug by voting on legislation that would allow the Department of Community Health to have more power to ban the drug and others that are similar to it.
